Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): As the holy month of Shravan is about to begin as per the Hindu calendar, preparations have begun for the grand 7 Sawaris (processions) of Baba Mahakal in Ujjain.

In view of the massive crowds expected during the Mahakal Sawari held every Monday of Shravan, the Ujjain collector has announced that all schools (private and government) with classes from nursery to class 12 will remain closed on Mondays till September 2 and will open on Sundays to make up for the losses.

Since Shravan is associated with Lord Shiva, Mahakal Nagri Ujjain witnessed massive crowds during this month. As a result, security has been beefed up not only at the Mahakaleshwar temple but across the city.

Strict action against hoteliers and businessmen violating rules

Ujjain Collector Neeraj Kumar Singh on Saturday strictly warned shopkeepers and hoteliers not to charge more money from devotees, otherwise the district administration will take strict action against them and impose fine. Similarly, he has also specifically ordered those making bookings that there should be no looting in the name of Bhasma Aarti, special darshan, accommodation, food and parking arrangements.

Srikanth Bolla was born in a rice farmer family in Sitarampuram, Machilipatnam district of Andhra Pradesh. He remained a brilliant student throughout his life. Initially he was denied science by all Indian schools. In fact, when he was born, his relatives had told his parents that he would prove to be a burden on them. But life had something else planned for him.

He went to study at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the US, as the first international blind student to be admitted with 100 percent financial aid.

A biopic on the inspirational journey of Srikanth Bola is being made with actor Rajkumar Rao in the lead. He played the role of Srikanth, which depicts his struggles as a visually impaired boy in school, his village and later in his college.

Srikanth’s school did not allow him to study science and mathematics because state law did not allow it. He believed that blind students would find it challenging to make pictures and graphs, which is an important part of the science curriculum. But he did not give up and took the board to court with the help of his teacher. All state board schools in Andhra Pradesh were allowed to admit visually impaired students in the science stream.

This was the beginning of his fight against the traditional education system of the country. After this he was refused IIT coaching in the major coaching schools of the country.

Srikanth did not accept defeat. Instead he applied to universities in the US and received five offers, enrolling at MIT in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He also represented India in cricket and played chess at the national level.

After completing his education, Srikanth returned to Hyderabad in 2012 to form Bolant Industries. His company manufactures eco-friendly products and provides employment to people with disabilities. His hard work and educational qualifications give him a distinct identity in his field. He was named in the World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leaders 2021 list.

Parents are worried about the third wave of COVID-19 in the coming months and they have different opinions on the plan to reopen schools in Delhi. A section of parents believes that it is the right time to reopen schools, while others feel that waiting for a few more weeks or even a month will not hurt. Let us inform that schools in Delhi were closed in March 2020 before the nationwide lockdown to prevent the spread of corona virus.

After several states had decided to partially reopen schools in October last year, when Covid cases were on the decline, the Delhi government allowed physical classes only for students of classes 9 to 12 in January this year , who were suddenly suspended again after a spike in cases of Kovid 19.

As per the instructions of the government, students of class 10, 11 and 12 can come to the schools with the consent of their parents for activities related to admission and board exams.
