9 more medical colleges will be started in UP by the end of the year

Lucknow: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state is going to become self-sufficient in health facilities soon. Work is being done on a war footing to make the health facilities agile. From equipment to oxygen plants are being installed in CHC-PHC and about 100 oxygen plants have also been started. 30 more new medical colleges are being built in the state. Nine medical colleges will be opened by the end of this year. Principal and 50 percent of teachers have also been appointed in these medical colleges. The construction of seven medical colleges is almost complete. 13 medical colleges are under construction.

UP, the country’s largest state by population had only 12 medical colleges before the year 2017. At present, there are 37 government and 30 private medical colleges in 43 districts of 18 divisions of the state. It is the intention of CM Yogi that there should be a medical college in every district, for this, efforts are also being made by the government. Apart from this, in view of the possible third wave, by June 20, there is a target to prepare 100 beds in all medical colleges, 20-20 beds in Pediatric ICU (Piku) in every district hospital and Piku / Niku beds in at least two CHCs. . So far, more than three and a half thousand beds have been prepared. It is being extended further.

Tests are being done for 32 people coming in contact with each infected
With the UP model of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the speed of corona in the state has come down to its lowest level. Under Trace, Test and Treat, about 32 people coming in contact with each infected are being tested. Uttar Pradesh has so far tested the highest number of 5,47,27,119 samples in the country. About 70 percent of the tests have been done in villages. In the last 24 hours, in the investigation of 2,91,123 people, only 291 new infected have been found, while 774 have been discharged. The positivity rate has reached .09 percent.

The number of active cases in UP, more new cases are coming daily in other states. The total active cases in the state have come down to 5343. The recovery rate has increased to 98.4 percent. Whereas in the last 24 hours, 12,469 new cases have been reported in Kerala, 9,118 in Tamil Nadu, 9,830 in Maharashtra, 5983 in Karnataka and 6,151 in Andhra Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh ranks 15th in the total active cases in the country. Uttar Pradesh is followed by Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Orissa, Assam, Telangana, West Bengal, Jammu and Kashmir, Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Gujarat and Manipur.
