New York: Ekta Kapoor was one of the proud recipients of an award at this year’s International Emmys. The popular producer created history on the platform as the first Indian female filmmaker to receive an award at the Emmys.
Ekta won the ‘International Emmy Directorate Award’ at the 51st International Emmys in New York on Tuesday (IST). He was presented the award by writer Deepak Chopra for his contribution to the TV industry.
Dressed in orange separates, Ekta expressed her excitement over the win. She said that she was nervous and didn’t know how to enjoy this big moment in her journey to become the king of the TV content world. He said, “I am extremely honored to receive the prestigious Emmys Directorship Award! I am extremely humbled and humbled to be recognized on such a global level.
I’ve always wanted to tell stories because they allow me to be heard, seen, and represented. I am grateful for the love of the audience who opened doors for me, allowing me to move from television to the world of films and OTT.”
Ekta, who is known and regarded as the ‘Daily Soap Queen’ in India, said that she wanted to be a bridge between the desires of the audience and the world of production. He also has more than 50 feature films to his name. The manufacturer has reportedly created a $600 million industry, 80 percent led by women and created 2 million jobs, directly impacting more than 7.2 million households across India.
