New Delhi: Following the recent GST 2.0 changes by the government, Mother Dairy has announced a price cut on its dairy and food products, bringing relief to consumers. The company has confirmed that the revised rates will come into effect from September 22.
The cuts come after the sweeping GST reforms that have eliminated or reduced taxes on several essential items. According to Mother Dairy, almost all of its products now fall in the zero-tax slab or the minimum 5% slab.
Popular food items like paneer, butter, cheese, ghee, milkshakes and ice cream are set to get even cheaper now. For instance, the price of a 500 gm pack of butter will drop from Rs 305 to Rs 285, while butterscotch cone ice cream will be available for Rs 30 instead of Rs 35.
