Noida Airport’s First Flight: The inaugural flight from Noida International Airport will not be bound for Mumbai, but rather for Bengaluru, and is scheduled to depart on June 15. Arriving from Lucknow, this IndiGo flight will first land at Noida Airport before continuing its journey to Bengaluru.
Bookings for flight tickets commenced on Thursday afternoon. IndiGo is set to operate the first flight—designated as 6E 2278—as Akasa and Air India Express have not yet announced the launch dates for their flights from Noida Airport.
IndiGo announced the commencement of flight services starting June 15 after Noida International Airport received approval for its Airport Security Programme from the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS).
Flight Schedule Released
The flight schedule for the airport was also released on Thursday. The flight is scheduled to arrive at 8:05 AM and will make a 20-minute stopover at Noida Airport. Subsequently, this IndiGo flight will depart for Bengaluru at 8:35 AM.
On the return leg of the journey, flight 6E 2279 is scheduled to land at Jewar Airport at 6:20 PM. After a 20-minute halt, the flight will depart for Lucknow at 6:55 PM.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had inaugurated the first phase of Jewar Airport. Since then, final security-related inspections and checks have been underway at the airport.
International Flights in the Second Phase
During the initial phase of operations, the airport will handle only domestic flights. This airport is poised to serve as a crucial alternative to Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport, helping to alleviate the passenger load at the latter facility.
Noida Airport to Commence Commercial Flights from June 15
In the subsequent phase, international flights to destinations such as the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Southeast Asia, and other regions are expected to be introduced.
Fare for the First Noida-Bengaluru Flight
As soon as bookings opened, the one-way ticket fare for a single passenger from Noida to Bengaluru started at ₹8,900 on IndiGo’s official website.
