New Delhi: Chief of Army Staff General MM Narwane has left for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia from 09 to 14 December 2020. During this visit, he will meet his counterparts and the top military officers of these countries. The visit of General Narwane is historic in the sense that for the first time an Indian military chief is going to visit the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
The Army Chief will be visiting the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from 09 to 10 December 2020 where he will meet senior military officials of the UAE and discuss the possibilities of strengthening defense relations between the two countries.
The army chief will travel to Saudi Arabia in the second leg of his visit from 13 to 14 December 2020 where he will hold several meetings with senior officials of military installations and discuss various issues related to defense cooperation between Saudi Arabia and India. General Narwane will also visit Saudi Arabia’s Army Royal Royal Land Force Headquarters, Joint Forces Command Headquarters and King Abdul Aziz Military Academy. He also has a program to address students and faculty personnel at the National Defense University of Saudi Arabia.
