Ayodhya: Scam on 2 more land deals of Shri Ram Mandir Trust came to light

Lucknow: Shri Ram Mandir Janmabhoomi Trust in Ayodhya is getting embroiled in land purchase disputes one after the other. New scams are being exposed every day. Recently, two new revelations have come to the fore, in which the case of buying land in lakhs and selling it in crores has come to the fore. It is worth noting that Deep Narayan Upadhyay, nephew of Ayodhya Mayor Rishikesh Upadhyay, is being told an important role in these deals. It is worth noting that the dispute over the purchase of land worth Rs 2 crore by the trust in Ayodhya for Rs 26 crore 50 lakh is yet to be resolved.

According to Aaj Tak, the land that Deep Narayan had bought for Rs 20 lakh was sold to Ram Janmabhoomi for Rs 2.5 crore. At the same time, the second land which was worth Rs 27 lakh has also been sold by the nephew of the Mayor to the Ram Mandir Trust for one crore. On 20 February 2021, Deep Narayan Upadhyay, nephew of Ayodhya Mayor Rishikesh Upadhyay, bought land in Ayodhya’s Gata number 135 to 890 square meters from Mahant Devendra Prasad Acharya for 20 lakh rupees. The value of this land purchased was estimated at 35.6 lakhs according to the circle rate.

Three months later, on May 11, 2021, Deep Narayan sold the same land of Kot Ramchandra Haveli to Ram Mandir Trust for Rs 2.5 crore. The mayor’s nephew sold the land bought for 20 lakhs to the Ram Mandir Trust after 3 months for 2.5 crores. The biggest thing is that Anil Mishra was also present on behalf of the witness trust in this deal and this 2.5 crore rupees were RTGS in Deep Narayan Upadhyay’s account on the same day.

It is worth noting that the circle rate of this area is Rs 4,000 per square metre, but this land was sold to the temple at the rate of Rs 28,090 per square metre.

Not only this, Deep Narayan Upadhyay sold another land on the same day on 20 February to the Ram Mandir Trust. Deep Narayan Upadhyay sold a piece of 676.86 square meters of land out of Gata No. 36-M to Ram Mandir Trust for one crore. Whereas according to the circle rate, the value of this land has been estimated at 27.08 lakhs. The land, which cost Rs 4,000 per square metre, was sold to the trust for Rs 14,774 per square metre. Trust member Anil Mishra is also a witness in this land deal.
