New Delhi: Veteran leader Ghulam Nabi Azad, who left the Congress, made a statement on Sunday that Rahul Gandhi meets unwanted businessmen abroad. He said that the Gandhi family has always been associated with businessmen. After this, the BJP has sought an answer from Rahul, who targeted the central government on the Adani issue. The BJP on Sunday shared a video clip of Ghulam Nabi Azad’s interview and wrote, “Rahul Gandhi goes abroad and meets unwanted businessmen. Rahul Gandhi should tell who are these businessmen, whom he met and why this meeting was done”.
After this, on Monday, former Law Minister and BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad also held a press conference and asked Rahul that Rahul should tell which businessman he is, what is your agenda? Ravi Shankar Prasad said- The country wants to know whom Rahul Gandhi meets during his foreign tours. Is Rahul Gandhi trying to weaken India at the behest of anti-India businessmen and working against Modi ji?
He said that Ghulam Nabi Azad ji has made a very serious allegation that whenever Rahul Gandhi goes on a foreign tour, he meets many ‘unwanted businessmen’ and has links with many business houses. Now the country wants to know whom does Rahul Gandhi meet during his foreign tours? BJP expects who are these businessmen whom Rahul Gandhi meets and what is the ‘wheeling-dealing’ between them. Who are these ‘unwanted traders’ and what are their interests?
Along with this, Ravi Shankar Prasad has asked Rahul Gandhi four more questions and sought his answers. First- Did Rahul Gandhi say anything against the Bofors case? Secondly, did he say anything about the manner in which Quattrocchi was driven away? Third – National Herald case… in which he himself is on bail, what does he have to say on that? And fourth – what is the agenda of Rahul Gandhi?
Azad’s counterattack
Actually, this whole matter has come after a tweet by Rahul Gandhi in which he claimed that five former Congress leaders have become BJP’s tools to divert attention from the Adani case. Rahul Gandhi had also taken the name of Ghulam Nabi Azad among these former Congress leaders.
… then he would have told whom Rahul met outside the country
Responding to Rahul Gandhi’s claim to Ghulam Nabi Azad in an interview on this, he said that it is a matter of shame that Rahul Gandhi has said this. I have never had any relation with any industrialist. While the whole family (Gandhi) including him (Rahul Gandhi) has relations with industrialists.
Azad further said, “I have a lot of respect for that family, otherwise I would have told where they had gone outside the country and which industrialists they had met. Even from people who were undesirable businessmen.
