New Delhi: As a part of the world’s largest vaccination campaign, the total number of Covid-19 vaccines injected in the country has crossed 11.72 crore today. According to the provisional report till 7 am today, a total of 11,72,23,509 vaccines have been administered through 17,37,539 sessions.
These include 90,82,999 HCW, those who have taken the first dose and 56,34,634 HCW who have taken the second dose, 1,02,93,524 FLW (first dose), 51,52,891 (second dose) 4 over 60 years of age. , 42,30,842 first dose beneficiaries and 30,97,961 second dose beneficiaries, and those aged 45 to 60 years, 3,87,41,890 (first dose) and 9,88,768 (second dose) are included.
More than 27 lakh vaccines of Covid have been planted in the last 24 hours. 27,30,359 vaccines were administered on the 90th day of the vaccination campaign (April 15, 2021). Of these, 21,70,144 beneficiaries were vaccinated for the first dose in 39,280 sessions and 5,60,215 beneficiaries received the second dose of the vaccine.
Covid has been screened over 26 crore across the country and the overall positivity rate is 5.42 percent.
New cases are increasing daily in India. 2,17,353 new cases were registered in the last 24 hours.
An increase in daily new cases of Covid has been demonstrated in 10 states Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Chandigarh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal. 79.10 percent of new cases have been reported from these 10 states.
Maharashtra has recorded the highest number of new cases with 61,695 daily. Uttar Pradesh ranks second with 22,339 cases, while Delhi has 16,699 new cases.
The 16 states, as shown below, are showing an increasing trend in daily new cases.
India’s total active cases have reached 15,69,743. This is 10.98 percent of the total positive cases in the country. In the last 24 hours, an increase of 97,866 cases was reported in total active cases.
The 5 states of Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala account for 65.86 percent of India’s total active cases. Maharashtra alone accounts for 39.60 percent of the total active cases in the country.
India’s total recovery today stands at 1,25,47,866. The national recovery rate is 87.80 percent.
1,18,302 recoveries were recorded in the last 24 hours.
In the last 24 hours, 1,185 deaths were recorded.
10 states account for 85.40 percent of the new deaths. Maharashtra recorded the highest number of deaths (349) while Chhattisgarh stood second with 135 daily deaths.
No deaths from Covid have been reported in 10 states / UTs in the last 24 hours. These are Ladakh (Union Territory), Tripura, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur, Lakshadweep, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Arunachal Pradesh.
