New Delhi: India has crossed another important milestone in the nationwide Covid-19 vaccination campaign that began on January 16, 2021. 20 lakh (20,53,537) vaccines have been given in the country through 30,561 sessions on the 56th day of the Corona vaccination campaign on 12 March 2021. This is the highest dose of vaccines given in a day so far. Of these, 16,39,663 beneficiaries (HCW and FLW) were awarded the first dose and 4,13,874 HCW and FLW were given the second dose of vaccine.
According to the provisional report received till 7 am today, 2.82 crore (2,82,18,457) vaccine doses have been given to people through 4,86,314 sessions in the country. These include 72,93,575 HCW (first dose), 41,94,030 HCW (second dose), 72,35,745 FLW (first dose) and 9,48,923 FLW (second dose), 12,54,468 suffering from other diseases above 45 years of age. The beneficiary (first dose) and the doses given to 72,91,716 beneficiaries above 60 years of age are included.
Eight states account for 74 percent of the 20,53,537 doses given in the last 24 hours.
Uttar Pradesh tops the list with more than 3.3 lakh vaccine doses.
Ten states have 69 percent participation among the beneficiaries who have been given the second dose. Uttar Pradesh alone accounts for 9.71 percent (4,99,242) of the total vaccination of the second dose in India.
Corona’s total active cases (caseloads) in India today are 2.02 lakhs (2,02,022). Currently active cases in India constitute 1.78 percent of the total positive cases in the country. In the last 24 hours, 24,882 new cases of corona were registered.
Of the new cases reported to Corona in the last 24 hours, 87.72 percent of new cases were reported in Maharashtra, Kerala, Punjab, Karnataka, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and Madhya Pradesh.
Maharashtra contributes 63.57 percent of India’s total active cases.
8 states are witnessing a steady increase in corona cases on a daily basis.
On the other hand, there are less than 1,000 active cases in 20 states / union territories.
India’s overall recovery rate today is 1,09,73,260. The national recovery rate is 96.82 percent. The difference between total recovery cases and active cases is steadily increasing. Today it is 10,771,238.
In the last 24 hours, 19,957 people have recovered. 86.43 per cent of the new recovery cases are from 6 states.
Maharashtra reported the maximum number of 11,344 new cases recovering in a day.
In the last 24 hours, 140 people have died due to Covid.
81.43 percent of the new cases of death are related to five states. Maharashtra had the highest number of deaths of 56 patients. After this, 34 people have died in Punjab and 14 in Kerala.
In 18 states / union territories no deaths from Covid-19 have been reported in the last 24 hours.
