New Delhi: The total number of Covid-19 vaccines planted in the country today has crossed 100 million. According to the interim report till 7 am today, in total, 10,15,95,147 vaccines have been administered through 15,17,963 sessions.
These include 90,04,063 HCWs who have taken the first dose and 55,08,289 HCWs who have taken the second dose. 99,53,615 FLW took the first dose while 47,59,209 FLW took the second dose. 3,96,51,630 beneficiaries over 60 years of age took the first dose and 18,00,206 beneficiaries took the second dose. 3,02,76,635 beneficiaries between 45 and 60 years of age have taken the first dose and 6,41,482 beneficiaries have taken the second dose.
8 states account for 60.27 percent of the total vaccines imposed in the country so far. More than 3.5 million vaccines have been administered in the last 24 hours.
35,19,987 vaccines were administered on the 85th day of the vaccination campaign (April 10, 2021). Of these, 31,22,109 beneficiaries were vaccinated for the first dose in 42,553 sessions while 3,97,878 beneficiaries received the second dose of the vaccine.
In terms of the number of daily doses of vaccines given globally, India remains on top with 38,34,574 doses being given on an average daily.
Daily new cases are continuously increasing in India. In the last 24 hours, 1,52,879 new cases were registered.
10 states including Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan have shown an increase in daily new cases of Covid. 80.92 percent of new cases have been reported from these states.
Maharashtra recorded the highest number with 55,411 daily new cases. Chhattisgarh ranks second with 14,098 cases while 12,748 new cases have been registered in Uttar Pradesh.
India’s total active cases have reached 11,08,087. It now accounts for 8.29 percent of the country’s total positive cases. There has been a net increase of 61,456 cases in total active cases in the last 24 hours.
Five states – Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh and Kerala account for 70.82 percent of India’s total active cases. Maharashtra alone accounts for 48.57 percent of the country’s total active cases.
The total recovery in India has reached 1,20,81,443 today. The national recovery rate is 90.44 percent.
90,584 recoveries were recorded in the last 24 hours.
There is a persistent trend in daily deaths. In the last 24 hours, 839 deaths have been recorded.
The 10 states account for 86.41 percent of the new deaths. Maharashtra recorded the highest number of deaths (309) while Chhattisgarh stood second with 123 daily deaths.
In the last 24 hours, 10 states / UTs have not recorded a single death from Covid-19. These are Daman and Diu and Dadar and Nagar Haveli, Nagaland, Tripura, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Mizoram, Manipur, Lakshadweep, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Arunachal Pradesh.
