The beautiful story of Radha and Krishna was the theme of storyteller-fashion designer Karan Torani’s latest campaign collection. The beautiful Tamannaah Bhatia was photographed on the ghats playing her muse as Radha in Leela, The Divine Illusion of Love campaign, which is perfectly timed for Janmashtami 2024. The ethereal grandeur draped in the designer’s peach saree and deep magenta blouse depicts the famous bathing scene. The contrasting shades of the blouse and saree give a rich dose of colour and are another reason to embrace the colourblock trend. The long, wavy mermaid hairstyle, and minimal makeup with blush and tint on the lips, which almost seem to be borrowed from the floating lotus, complete her look. Radha and Krishna cannot be without their gopis. Models dressed as gopis dance to the tune of a flute in the designer’s extremely stylish creations.
Tamannaah Bhatia’s recent style repertoire has been in the designer’s creations. On one hand she was portraying Radha in the mystical beauty of a sari, on the other she was a beautiful woman in deep red. Earlier this month, for the launch of the song Aaj Ki Raat from Stree 2, in which she dances with Rajkummar Rao, the actress chose a deep red transparent corset lehenga by designer Karan Torani that had a mix of modern and contemporary elements. When these two powerhouses come together to make a style statement, nothing less can be expected.
Tamannaah Bhatia’s ethnic style sense takes all shapes and forms to make a fashion statement.
