Lucknow University: National Assessment and Accreditation Council has awarded A++ Rating (NAAC) to Lucknow University, LU. Lucknow University has become the first university in Uttar Pradesh to get A+ grade.
The NAAC team visited the Lucknow University campus on 21 July and the evaluation was completed on 23 July. For the first time, the NAAC awarded an A++ grade to the university after a three-day evaluation. This is a significant improvement in the LU NAAC grades; Earlier, the university used to get grades only up to B+.
According to media reports, Lucknow University has been working on every parameter assessed by NAAC for the last two and a half years and necessary improvements have been made in the college. As a result, the university’s NAAC grades skyrocketed, creating history. In the NAAC evaluation of 2020, LU has released the B.
The NAAC grading team evaluated the administrative block, library, hostel and other sections of the university. According to LU spokesperson Durgesh Srivastava, the NAAC team had recommended that a reading room be set up in the cooperative lending library of the university.
On Tuesday, the NAAC team released the LU grade and the report was submitted to the Vice Chancellor of Lucknow University, Professor Alok Kumar Rai. According to reports, the team of NAAC also evaluated the National PG College in Lucknow and this time the grade of the college fell. National PG College has got B++ accreditation.
