Lucky Ali said being a Muslim today is a lonely thing

Popular Indian singer Lucky Ali opened up about feeling “lonely” as a Muslim on his X (formerly Twitter) handle. The 65-year-old also said that the world would not hesitate to call him a terrorist just because of his religious identity.

“Being a Muslim in the world today is a lonely place. Following the Sunnah of the Prophet is a lonely place, your friends will abandon you, the world will call you a terrorist,” Lucky Ali wrote.

Unaware of the context of the note, some fans expressed their support in the comments section and assured him that he is not alone.

“Ustad ji there are good people and bad people too. No matter what, coming from someone like me, you are a legend and will always be. And every good person is a good person. That’s it. It doesn’t matter if he is Lucky Ali or Lucky Sharma,” commented a fan.

Another user wrote, “The true path is always tough, if they leave you they were never your friends, always remember Allah is with you! You will find many true friends on this beautiful journey, you are not alone, you are just getting stronger and becoming a survivor.”

A third comment read, “Does it matter? And if your friends are leaving you, they were never your friends. You should be thankful that because of your religious belief, you are able to understand the mindset of people around you, otherwise you would have been in a dilemma all your life.”

In February, Ali released his album Morning Taare, which also featured Mikey McCleary. The album features eight tracks, including “Dil Gaye Jaa” and “Rehne De”.
