Message from a speech by a great leader of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh

Is the much-talked-about strategic and statesmanlike address delivered by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat similar to the recent instance of the Juvenile Justice Board in Pune asking a minor offender to write a 300-word essay on road accidents as part of his bail conditions? But who has to write the essay in this case?

In a brilliant speech (not the first brilliant speech delivered by the RSS chief), Mr. Bhagwat has virtually laid out a road map for the new (old) government and laid down a model code of conduct, which people expected the Election Commission of India (ECI) to enforce during the 2024 general election. The similarity between the two is what is not said. The ECI warned the party; the RSS supremo preached to ‘whomsoever it concerns’. Mr. Bhagwat’s message is loud and clear while the ECI’s was muted and embellished. Both messages have the potential to reach the target without exposing it.
