10 people killed after 3-storey building collapses in Bhiwandi

Mumbai: 10 people, including 7 children, were killed when a 3-storey building collapsed on Monday in Bhiwandi, Thane district of Maharashtra. According to the information, some more people are buried under the debris, whose work is on to save them. The NDRF team has reached the spot and the rescue operation is going on.

Bhiwandi building collapse: Maharashtra minister Eknath Shinde visited the site. In this morning incident, 10 people have lost their lives.

As per reporting NDRF as saying that 20 people have been rescued by the locals. According to preliminary information, at least 20-25 people are feared trapped.

Police said that this old building collapsed in Bhiwandi at 3.40 am, in which about 10 people died and some people are feared trapped and the search operation is on.

NDRF DG SN Pradhan said that the team is using a canine squad to search for the people trapped in the debris. The Sixth team is conducting relief and rescue operations at the scene. Doing everything possible to get the people trapped under the debris alive.
