Most of the time, people like to blame technology for making us more and more different in society.
Some say that technology disconnects us from our history and roots because we are constantly engrossed in material consumption or attempts at escapism. However, technology can also be positive, especially when reconnecting our history.
There are software that can successfully build old monuments and cities through simulation. Alternatively, it can also be used to restore dying artifacts and photographs during the passage of time. The most recent restoration comes from a Twitter user and the photo is of the revolutionary freedom fighter, Chandra Shekhar Azad.

Twitter user ALLU is a digital artist. He used technology to “restore” an old photograph of Azad that was too pixelated and damaged. As one can assume, opportunities to take photographs were rare during the era of Azad.
Unlike today, where anyone can whip out a smartphone and click 50 pictures at once, the old days saw pictures as a rare privilege. Most people would get a few shots in their entire lives while many went without being photographed even once.
This free picture restored by a digital artist is one of the very few present today. As you can see, the original black and white rash photo is very vague. The restored version looks super impressive with highly detailed facial features.
The colors are very saturated, the small details like eyebrow and mustache hair have been noticeably enhanced, and they have a definite glow in their eyes.
