Former international leg-spinner from Pakistan, Danish Kaneria, has shared his views on the ongoing student protests in New Delhi. He has strongly supported Prime Minister Narendra Modi while raising pointed questions about the motives behind the anti-government protests in India.
Reacting to the protests organized by the ‘Cockroach Janata Party’ (CJP) at Jantar Mantar, the 45-year-old former cricketer expressed deep concern on social media. He viewed this as a familiar and repetitive playbook used for street protests.
In a post on the social media network ‘X’, Kaneria detailed the multi-step formula that, according to him, drives these public disruptions:
“I am troubled because the script for every protest in India seems identical. 1. Reviling Lord Ram. 2. Reviling Bharat Mata. 3. Reviling PM Modi. 4. Reviling PM Modi’s late mother. 5. Reviling Brahmins. 6. Reviling Hindutva.”
The former leg-spinner warned that opposition groups seeking to create political instability akin to that in Nepal are laboring under a major misconception. He argued that choosing public disruption over fact-based dialogue hinders national development and stifles constructive policy debates.

The move aims to ensure swift judicial accountability while strengthening trust in the country’s competitive examination system. Elaborating on this initiative on X, the Prime Minister stated:
“Nothing is more important than the well-being and future of our youth! We have decided to set up fast-track courts to ensure speedy and strict punishment for those involved in paper leaks.”
Reiterating the government’s commitment to student safety and the integrity of the education system, Modi added:
“This is part of a series of measures being taken to safeguard the interests of students. Those who attempt to harm the future of our youth will not be spared.”
