BJP MP and actress Kangana Ranaut has escalated her war of words with yoga guru Baba Ramdev. She has accused Ramdev of making remarks about women that cross the boundaries of decency and stated that he needs to rethink his attitude towards women.
Ranaut’s latest comment comes amidst the ongoing dispute between the two, which began after her controversial statement calling protesters at Jantar Mantar “Generation Gutter.” Ramdev had criticized this statement, sparking a public debate between the actress-politician and the yoga guru.
Ranaut stated that Ramdev’s comments about her were inappropriate and amounted to a personal attack.
Ranaut said, “As far as Baba Ramdev is concerned, he has crossed all limits of decency; the things he has said about a woman have shamed society. He has dishonored his saffron robes. Given his comments about women, I feel he really needs to reflect on his perspective towards them.”
The BJP MP had previously responded to Ramdev via an Instagram post, claiming her character was superior to his and taking a dig at the controversies surrounding him and Patanjali.

One can only speculate based on rumors and gossip. At the very least, I have never faced a reprimand from the Supreme Court—the Supreme Court has never named me in any case—and this is based on solid facts, not gossip or assumptions.”
She added, “So, do not lecture me on character. My character is far better than yours. No fraud has been found here.”
What did Baba Ramdev say?
Subsequently, Ramdev presented his views without directly responding to Ranaut’s allegations.
He said, “The people of this country know who Swami Ramdev is and what his contributions have been. Therefore, I do not wish to comment on individuals of such stature.” This latest development has also drawn attention to Ramdev’s past legal disputes involving Patanjali Ayurved. In 2024, following Supreme Court proceedings regarding misleading advertisements, Ramdev and Patanjali’s Managing Director, Acharya Balkrishna, published apologies in newspapers.
They expressed regret for violating promises made to the Court and assured the bench that such conduct would not be repeated. They also pledged to refrain from making claims about medicinal products or statements disparaging modern medical practices.
