Asia Cup Prize Money: How much did India earn after defeating Pakistan in the final?

India’s thrilling five-wicket win over Pakistan in the final of the Asia Cup 2025 not only secured a record ninth title but also generated substantial earnings.

According to reports, the winners of this year’s tournament will receive a prize money of US$300,000 (approximately ₹2.6 crore), a significant 50 percent increase compared to the 2023 edition.

Runners-up Pakistan will receive US$75,000 (approximately ₹66.75 lakh), reflecting the Asia Cup’s growing financial strength.

This increase in prize money reflects how the tournament’s stature and commercial appeal have grown, especially with the T20 World Cup next year.

In 2022, the winners’ prize money was US$200,000, making this edition’s prize money the largest in the competition’s history.

On the field, the money was fully deserved.

Tilak Verma emerged as India’s hero, smashing an unbeaten 69 off 53 balls to rescue the team from early setbacks at 20/3.

Unperturbed under pressure, the young left-handed batsman forged crucial partnerships – 57 with Sanju Samson (24) and 64 with Shivam Dubey (33).

His maturity and talent were evident as he smashed the ball four times and hit three fours in his decisive innings.

Tilak sent Haris Rauf into the stands with a thunderous six, after which Rinku Singh, playing his first match of the tournament, sealed the match with a four.

The celebratory atmosphere at the Dubai International Stadium, packed with Indian fans, reflected the significance of the occasion.

Earlier, Kuldeep Yadav’s 4/30 derailed Pakistan’s innings, reducing them from a solid 113/1 to 146 all out. Kuldeep, along with brilliant performances from Axar Patel and Varun Chakravarthy (who took two wickets each), turned the match around.

In the end, India not only won the trophy but also the largest prize money in Asia Cup history, making the victory memorable both on and off the field.
