Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings are one of the first teams to begin their preparations for IPL 2021 and captain MS Dhoni is determined to change the fortunes of the team after a disappointing performance in the previous edition, where he finished sixth in the table.
CSK, who will play their first match of IPL 2021 on April 10 against the Delhi Capitals at the Wankhede Stadium, finished seventh in last year’s points in the United Arab Emirates and look better and will return to win this year. In IPL 2020, they failed to qualify for the play-offs for the first time in their history and this year, they are not shining around.
Along with senior prosecutors, CSK has also invited two young Indian skies athletes from Mahesh Thershana and Mathisha Pathirana to join their reserve team. Two uncapped players have joined CSK’s training camp and Pathirana will be the focus of many.
