Bhagwat launches Urdu translation of Samveda; ‘Aurangzeb lost, Modi ji won’: Filmmaker Durrani

New Delhi: RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on Friday underlined the Vedas’ acceptance of various paths taken by people to understand spiritual truths and said the world needs such understanding in these times of struggle. Speaking at the release of Urdu and Hindi translations of Samaveda, one of the four Vedas of Hinduism, Bhagwat said different people may have different ways of worship, but it should be realized that the goal is the same. . , The top Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) functionary said that one should not fight in different ways and this is the message that is relevant to all and that India has to give to others.

In his speech, Bhagwat quoted various illustrations from ancient texts to emphasize that the same truth can be understood in different ways by different people.

The one who guides all is known by different names, he said, underlining the need for inter-religious harmony. “The ways (of worship) and the paths may be different, but the destiny is the same. See the destiny and move towards it. Don’t fight each other over the ways. This is the message India has to give to the world ” Bhagwat said.

Citing a story, the RSS chief said that different persons can reach the top of a mountain using different paths. While they may believe that others have taken the wrong path, the One Above can see that everyone is moving towards the same goal, he said.

“The world needs to understand this truth. There is discord between humans all over the world. There is discord between humans and nature. Humans have invited this crisis and the solution is in their hands. They have to change course.” They think,” Bhagwat said.

The Urdu and Hindi translations of Samaveda have been done by film writer and director Iqbal Durrani, who has been associated with various big-budget Hindi films, especially in the 1990s.

Speaking at the event, Durrani said, “Dara Shikoh, the eldest son of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, had translated several texts into Persian and wanted to translate the Vedas as well, but did not live to do so.”

He said, “What could not be done has been done today during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s regime by translating the Samaveda with me. Today Aurangzeb lost and Narendra Modi ji won.”

Senior Sangh leaders Krishna Gopal, Ram Lal and Indresh Kumar and other Sangh leaders attended the event.

Actors Suniel Shetty, Mukesh Khanna, Jaya Prada, Gajendra Chauhan and singer Anoop Jalota were also present at the event along with other dignitaries including religious leaders from different faiths.
