Corona Update: Covid-19 vaccines were given to about 80 lakh beneficiaries in 28 days

New Delhi: About 80 lakh beneficiaries have been vaccinated by Covid in their fight against Covid-19 in India. As of 8 am on February 13, 2021, 79,67,647 beneficiaries have been vaccinated under the nationwide Covid-19 vaccination campaign.

Of these, 5,909,136 are health workers and 2,058,511 are frontline employees. So far, 1,64,781 vaccination sessions have been held. 4,28,637 beneficiaries (HCW 94,160 and FLW-3,68,477) have been vaccinated in 10,411 sessions on 28th day of vaccination i.e. 12 February 2021. The number of vaccinated beneficiaries is increasing day by day.

8 states account for nearly 60 per cent (59.70 per cent) of the total beneficiaries vaccinated in India. More than four lakh beneficiaries have been vaccinated in these 8 states. Uttar Pradesh alone accounts for 10.8 percent (8,58,602 beneficiaries) of the total beneficiaries.

There has been a significant reduction in deaths due to Covid in the States and Union Territories during the last 24 hours. In 17 states / union territories no new patient has been reported to have died due to Covid-19. Death of 1-5 new patients has been detected in 13 states / union territories.

The names of 17 states / UTs in which no new patient has died during the last 24 hours are as follows- Telangana, Odisha, Jharkhand, Puducherry, Chandigarh, Nagaland, Assam, Manipur, Sikkim, Meghalaya, Ladakh, Mizoram, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Tripura, Lakshadeep, Arunachal Pradesh, Damanand and Dadar and Nagar Haveli.

The total number of active cases in India today is 1.36 lakhs (1,36,571). Now the number of active cases is only 1.25 percent of the total infected cases in the country.

So far 1.06 crore (1,06,00,625) patients have been cured. During the last 24 hours, 11,395 Covid patients have recovered and have been discharged. The national recovery rate is 97.32 percent.

81.93 percent cured new patients belong to six states.

Kerala has the highest number of 5,332 new patients cured yesterday, while Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu have recovered 2,422 and 486 new patients respectively during the last 24 hours.

In the last 24 hours, 12,143 new cases have been registered.

86.01 percent of new cases are from six states.

Kerala has the highest number of 5,397 new patients detected yesterday. 3,670 and 483 new patients have been detected in Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu yesterday.

Covid has killed 103 people in the last 24 hours.

Six states account for 80.58 percent of the new deaths. Maharashtra had the maximum deaths of 36 patients yesterday, while 18 in Kerala, 8 and 8 in Karnataka and Punjab.
