Corona Update: India becomes the fastest country in the world to apply 7 million vaccines in 26 days

New Delhi: India has achieved another significant achievement. India has become the fastest country in the world to vaccinate more than 7 million people against Covid-19. India has achieved this feat in only 26 days, while America has taken 27 days and England has 48 days to reach this figure.

India became the first country to reach the 60 million mark a few days ago. More than 70 lakh (70,17,114) beneficiaries have been vaccinated under the nationwide Covid-19 vaccination campaign till 11 am on February 11, 2021.

A total of 70,17,114 beneficiaries have been vaccinated so far, including 57,05,228 health care workers (HCWs) and 13,11,886 frontline employees (FLWs). So far, 1,43,056 sessions have been held.

4,05,349 beneficiaries (HCW 94,890 and FLW -3,10,459) have been vaccinated in 8,308 sessions on the 26th day of vaccination i.e. 10 February 2021.

The number of vaccinated beneficiaries is increasing day by day. More than 65 percent of registered health care workers have been vaccinated in 13 states / union territories. In Bihar, 79 percent of the registered HCWs have received Covid vaccines.

In seven states / union territories, less than 40 percent of registered health care workers are vaccinated. Puducherry has the lowest 17.5 percent of its employees vaccinated.

India’s fight against Covid-19 is also gaining success daily on other fronts. There have been no deaths from Covid in the last twenty four hours in 17 states / union territories. These States / Union Territories – Telangana, Gujarat, Assam, Haryana, Odisha, Uttarakhand, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Lakshadweep, Ladakh, Sikkim, Manipur, Mizoram, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Daman and Diu and Dadra. And Nagar Haveli.

There have been 1,42,562 active cases in the country during the last twenty four hours. Now the total number of infected cases in the country is only 1.31 percent of the total cases. The number of active cases in the country is only 104 per million population, the lowest in the world.

During the last twenty four hours in the country, 12,923 new confirmed cases have been registered while 11,764 new patients have been cured during the same period. The national recovery rate is 97.26 percent, which is the highest recovery rate in the world.

A total of 1,05,73,372 Covid patients have been cured so far. The difference between active cases and cured cases has steadily increased to 1,04,30,810. 83.20 percent of new cases have been reported in six states. The highest number of 5,745 new patients has been cured in Kerala. 2,421 and 495 new patients have been cured in Maharashtra and Gujarat respectively.

85.11 percent of new patients belong to six states.

Kerala has seen the highest number of 5,980 new cases yesterday, while Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu have recorded 3,451 and 479 new cases respectively.

During the last twenty-four hours 108 Covid patients have died. 79.63 percent of death cases belong to seven states. Maharashtra has the highest number of deaths at 30, while Kerala has recorded 18 new deaths.
