New Delhi: There is a continuing trend in the number of daily deaths of new Covid-19 patients in India from October 1, 2020. 92 patients have died in the last 24 hours. Since October 1, 2020, there has been a steady decline in the case death rate in the country.
Today the case death rate is less than 1.5 percent (1.43 percent). India’s case death rate is one of the lowest in the world. So far 1.06 crore (1,06,11,731) patients have been cured. During the past 24 hours, 11,016 patients have recovered and have been discharged from hospitals. India’s recovery rate is 97.31 percent which is the highest recovery rate in the world. The difference between cured patients and active cases has increased to 1,04,74,164 today.
As of 8 am on 14 February 2021, more than 82 lakh health workers (HCWs) and front line personnel (FLWs) have been vaccinated by Covid-19 in the country. According to a temporary report, 82,63,858 beneficiaries have been vaccinated through 1,72,852 sessions till 8 am today. These include 59,84,018 HCW (first dose), 23,628 HCW (second dose) and 22,56,212 FLW (first dose). The second dose of Covid-19 vaccination has been started tomorrow for the beneficiaries who have passed 28 days after taking the first dose.
A total of 2,96,211 beneficiaries have been vaccinated on the 29th day of the vaccination campaign i.e. February 13, 2021. Of these, 2,72,583 beneficiaries were given the first dose and 23,628 HCWs were given the second dose of vaccine in 8,071 sessions. Vaccination of Covid is increasing every day in the country.
Of the total vaccinated beneficiaries, 68.55 percent people belong to 10 states.
81.58 percent of the new patients recovering belong to six states. The highest number of 5835 new patients has been cured in a single day in Kerala. In the last 24 hours in Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu, 1773 and 482 new patients have been cured respectively.
The current number of infected cases in India is only 1.26 percent of the total positive cases in India. The total number of active cases in the country has come down to 1.37 lakhs (1,37,567). 86.25 percent of new cases are related to six states. Yesterday, 5471 new cases were detected in Kerala. Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu have reported 3611 and 477 new cases respectively during the last 24 hours.
Six states account for 78.3 percent of the deaths of new patients. Maharashtra had the highest number of deaths of 38 corona patients yesterday. Yesterday, 16 Tamil Nadu and Chhattisgarh 5-5 new patients died in Kerala.
