Corona Update: India’s total immunization coverage crosses 11.44 crore

New Delhi: The number of Covid-19 vaccines being given in the country has crossed 11.44 crore today. A four-day vaccine festival was observed from April 11 to 14, 2021 to encourage vaccination campaigns covering the public and private sector in the country.

The total number of vaccinations increased by 1,28,98,314 doses during the vaccine festival. These vaccines were introduced to people belonging to the eligible population group in the country.

11,44,93,238 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine were given in 16,98,138 sessions, with an interim report until 7 o’clock this morning. These include 90,64,527 HCW taking the first dose, 56,04,197 HCW taking the second dose, 1,02,13,563 FLW (first dose), 50,64,862 FLW (second dose), 4,34,71,031 beneficiaries of the first dose and 27 , 47,019 beneficiaries of second dose aged 60 years and beneficiaries between 45 and 60 years of age are 3,74,30,078 (first dose) and 8,97,961 (second dose).

More than 33 lakh doses were given in the last 24 hours.

33,13,848 doses of the vaccine were given on the 89th day of the vaccination campaign (April 14, 2021). Out of these, vaccines were given to 28,77,473 beneficiaries for the first dose in 44,864 sessions and second dose to 4,36,375 beneficiaries.

The number of new cases in India is increasing. 2,00,739 new cases were registered in the last 24 hours.

Daily new cases of Covid have increased in 10 states – Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Rajasthan. 80.76 percent of new cases have come from these 10 states.

The highest number of new cases was found at 58,952 in Maharashtra. After this, 20,439 new cases were found in Uttar Pradesh and 17,282 in Delhi.

Daily cases have increased in the 16 states shown.

India’s total active caseload stands at 14,71,877. It now covers 10.46 percent of the country’s total active cases. In the last 24 hours, an increase of 1,06,173 cases was reported from the total active caseload.

Five states – Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala – constitute 67.16 percent of India’s total active cases. Maharashtra has 43.54 per cent of the total active caseloads in the country.

Today, the total number of recovers in India is 1,24,29,564. The national recovery rate is 88.31 percent.

93,528 people recovered in the last 24 hours.

There were 1,038 deaths in the last 24 hours.

82.27 percent of the new death cases came from 10 states. Maharashtra had the highest number of deaths at 278. The number of daily deaths in Chhattisgarh stood at 120.

There is no report of death of Covid-19 in 9 states / UTs in the last 24 hours. These are – Daman and Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Tripura, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur, Lakshadweep and Arunachal Pradesh.
