Corona Update: Total number of vaccinated people is more than 9.80 crores

New Delhi: Today, the total number of doses of Covid-19 vaccine across the country has exceeded 9.80 crores. As per the interim report till 7 am today, a total of 9,80,75,160 vaccine doses have been given through 14,75,410 sessions.

These included 89,88,373 health workers ‘first dose of vaccine and 54,79,821 health workers’ second dose of vaccine, 98,67,330 Advance Front workers ‘first dose of vaccine, 46,59,035 Advance Front workers’ second dose of vaccine, 60 3,86,53,105 beneficiaries over the age of first vaccine had first dose and 15,90,388 beneficiaries had second dose of vaccine and 2,82,55,044 beneficiaries aged 45 to 60 had their first dose and 5,82,064 beneficiaries. Took a second dose of vaccine. So far, 60.62 percent doses of the total vaccine in the country have been given in 8 states.

During the last 24 hours, more than 3.4 million vaccine doses were given.

34,15,055 vaccine doses were given on the 84th day of the vaccination campaign (09 April 2021). Through 46,207 sessions, 30,06,037 beneficiaries took the first dose and 4,09,018 beneficiaries took the second dose.

In terms of the number of daily doses globally, India remains on top with an average of 38,93,288 vaccine doses given per day.

Daily new cases continue to grow in India. In the last 24 hours, 1,45,384 new cases were registered.

Ten new states – Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Rajasthan – show an increase in daily new cases of Covid-19. Only 82.82 percent of new cases are in these ten states.

Maharashtra has the highest number of 58,993 daily new cases reported. After this, 11,447 new cases have been registered in Chhattisgarh and 9,587 in Uttar Pradesh.

The total number of active cases in India has reached 10,46,631. It is now 7.93 percent of the total positive cases in the country. Out of the total number of active cases in the last 24 hours, 67,023 cases were reduced.

A total of 72.23 percent of the total active cases in India are in five states Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh and Kerala. Maharashtra alone accounts for 51.23 percent of the total active cases in the country.

Ten districts of the country account for 45.65 percent of the total active cases.

The total number of healthy patients in India till date is 1,19,90,859. The recovery rate at the national level is 90.80 percent.

The number of daily deaths is seen to be constantly rising. In the last 24 hours, 794 deaths were recorded.

In ten states, the share of Covid deaths is 86.78 percent. Maharashtra recorded the highest number of deaths (301). After which 91 daily deaths have been recorded in Chhattisgarh.

Twelve states / union territories recorded no deaths from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. These include Puducherry, Ladakh (Union Territory), Daman & Diu and Dadra Nagar Haveli, Nagaland, Tripura, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Mizoram, Manipur, Lakshadweep, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Arunachal Pradesh.
