Farmers are still protesting in Singhu-Tikari border despite got permission in Delhi

New Delhi: Today is the third day of demonstration of farmers of Punjab and Haryana in protest against agricultural bills, but no solution appears. Meanwhile, thousands of farmers gathered along the Singhu border held a meeting on Saturday morning amid heavy security and despite giving space in Burari in North Delhi to protest, the farmers decided to continue the protest on the border. On the main routes of Singhu and Tikri Border which connect other cities, the farmers have decided not to proceed from there.

The farmers said that we will not leave here (Singhu Border and Tiki Border) and will continue our fight from here. We will not even return home. Thousands of farmers from Punjab and Haryana have come to participate in this protest.

Thousands of farmers are still standing on the Delhi border (Singhu and Tikri). However, after the struggle on the Singhu border on Friday, the government allowed the entry of farmers in Delhi. The Delhi government said that the farmers could protest at Nirankari ground in Burari, but the farmers refused entry in Delhi. They say that they have come to surround Delhi and not to surround Delhi.

Thousands of farmers stayed on the Singhu border on Friday night. They say that we will perform on the highway itself. One farmer said that we have 6 months ration. The blacks against the peasants will go back only after getting rid of agricultural laws.

Many colleges in Delhi-NCR have postponed the examinations due to farmer demonstrations. This has increased the troubles of students coming from outside. He says that the college had not given any information about it before, and suddenly decided to postpone the exam.

The Delhi Police had barricaded in three layers on the Singhu border. At the forefront were barbed wire. The trucks were then fitted like barricades. Eventually the Water Cannon was deployed. Even such arrangements could not stop the farmers. Police of three states from Punjab-Haryana border to Delhi border tried to stop the farmers by making big blockades 8 times, but every time the farmers moved forward with the help of tractor. In between, there was a fierce struggle between the farmers and the soldiers.

Just as large pits are seen on the road in many Naxal-affected areas of Bastar, similarly the pits appeared on the highway. The police put up many accolades. Used trucks for barricading. Even after this, farmers continued to make their way through the fields. Farmers are preparing for a big movement in Delhi. For this, they are carrying gas cylinders and chulhas on tractors and they also have several months ration.

Why the performance happening?
The Central Government had enacted 3 laws The Farmers Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, The Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement of Prize Assurance and Farm Services Act and The Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act for agricultural reforms. In protest against these, farmers of Punjab and Haryana have been on the roads for the last two months. Farmers feel that the government is going to remove the patch, while the Prime Minister himself has denied it.
