Hackers demanded 10 crore rupees from Ghaziabad man, threatened to viral obscene pictures

Ghaziabad: A group of hackers demanded a ransom of Rs 10 crore from a Ghaziabad man and threatened to disseminate indecent photographs and personal details of his family if he fails to meet their demands. The police’s cybercrime cell is investigating the case and trying to catch the hackers.

He said that the man from the Vasundhara Ghaziabad, reached the police after hacking his email account. He has threatened a man named Rajiv Kumar that if he does not pay Rs 10 crore, his obnoxious videos will go viral on social media.

A case has been registered under sections of the Indian Penal Code for criminal intimidation, insulting the modesty of women, and willful insult to breach peace and Section 66D of the IT Act, Deputy Superintendent of Police Anshu Jain told PTI News Agency. The complainant has said that the hackers are monitoring the family’s activities and harassing them constantly.

The DSP said that the cybercrime cell of the police is investigating the case and trying to catch the hackers.
