When Ranveer asked him why he thought Hanuman Chalisa had anti-ghost properties, Nandi gave an answer that is not common knowledge to many people.
Nandi explained how Hanuman ji is one of those deities who excel in the field of protection. He told that Lord Hanuman and Lord Bhairav are two gods who protect their devotees to every possible extent. The reason why requests for power and protection reach Hanuman ji faster is that he lives closer to the earth than others.
He further explained how Hanuman ji is immortal and prefers to live near the earth plane compared to other gods. So, your prayers and your devotion reach them faster than any other God!
Now the next question comes that how much does Hanuman ji help his devotees? On this, Nandi explains that if you ask for wealth and success from Hanuman ji, then this is not the area in which he is very interested, rather, if you ask for courage, strength, protection and bravery from him, and you get that. Nandi explained how reciting Hanuman Chalisa 108 times for a period of time with utmost concentration and devotion can give you fruitful results. Combining the recitation of Hanuman Chalisa with taking the name of Lord Rama proves to be even more beneficial for Hanuman ji as he himself is a disciple of Lord Rama.
