New Delhi: India on Wednesday resumed e-Visa services for Canadian citizens.
Earlier in September, India had suspended its visa service in Canada citing ‘operational reasons’ in the wake of rising tensions and diplomatic expulsions between the two countries.
Disagreements escalated after the controversial discussion on Khalistan issue between the Indian and Canadian Prime Ministers during the recent G20 meeting in Delhi.
Canada said it is “actively pursuing credible allegations” linking government agents to the killing of a Khalistani extremist in British Columbia in June.
However, India categorically rejected any such claims from the Canadian side, calling the allegations “absurd” and “motivated”.
