26 September 2021, Sunday: Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates described India as “a great example of a country that has invested in its vaccine capacity”. “A few decades ago, India invested in its healthcare capabilities by building research infrastructure in cities like Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Ahmedabad and Pune,” he said.

He added, “Today 2/3 of all children in the world get a vaccine that was made in India.”
