Railways has started preparations to bring all express, MEMU, DEMU and other local passenger trains back on track by March. Quoting Dainik Jagran, East Central Railway GM Lalit Chandra Trivedi said that a proposal has been sent to the Railway Board for this. The proposal is expected to be approved soon.

According to the information, railway will soon start direct rail service from Patna to Sitamarhi to Janakpur. The construction work of the rail line almost till Janakpur has been completed. Special arrangements have also been made in the budget for survey of Raxaul to Kathmandu railway section from Railway Board.
