Infiltration attempt at LoC fails, security forces kill 3 terrorists

New Delhi: Three militants were killed by security forces in the Machil sector near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir, thwarting an infiltration attempt. According to information received from the Army, 3 Indian Army personnel and a Captain have also been killed in this encounter.

According to army sources, the army patrol stopped the militants trying to infiltrate, after which the encounter started. Earlier, defense spokesman Colonel Rajesh Kalia said, “Around one o’clock in the middle of November 7-8, some unknown people were seen doing suspicious activities by the patrol near Machil sector (in Kupwara district of North Kashmir) on the Line of Control.”

Defense sources said the suspected terrorists were trying to infiltrate. He was warned, in response, he opened fire, in response to which a terrorist was killed in the action of security forces. However, along with the BSF, the operation of the army also continued, in which later the security forces succeeded in killing 2 more terrorists. However, an army officer and 3 soldiers were martyred in this operation. The officer said an AK-47 rifle and two bags have been recovered from the encounter site. The search operation is still on.
