New Delhi: The meeting between former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Shiv Sena leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut has created a stir in Maharashtra’s politics. Discussions are being held across the country on this meeting which lasted for about 2 hours in a hotel in Mumbai on Saturday. Politicians are looking at this meeting by linking it with the ongoing investigation in Mumbai by the Central Investigation Agency (CBI).
It is noteworthy to mention that, both the Shiv Sena and the BJP parted ways to form the government in Maharashtra, since then there has been a rift between them. The tussle was further heightened when both the parties came face to face over the CBI investigation into Sushant Singh Rajput’s suspicious death. On one hand, the Shiv Sena sitting in power was opposing this investigation to be conducted by the CBI, on the other hand the BJP sitting in the center approved this investigation.
After which, there was a sharp clash between both the parties. People started seeing the cause of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death with the death of his former manager Disha Salyan. In the case of Disha’s death, the name of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s son and cabinet minister Aditya Thackeray started appearing. Now the politics of Maharashtra has become hot due to this meeting of Devendra Fadnavis and Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut.
Interestingly, Shiv Sena is a joint government of NCP and Congress in Maharashtra, while Shiv Sena and Bharatiya Janata Party fought the assembly elections together. But there was no communication between the two about the CM’s chair and then the Shiv Sena broke away from the NDA and formed a government to be a part of Aghadi. Since then, the relationship between the two started growing sour.
Just 24 hours ago, Vikas Singh, lawyer for the family of Sushant Singh Rajput, questioned the methods of CBI investigation on Sushant’s death, saying that in the next two-three months if the Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress government collapses and BJP- It will be very serious if the Shiv Sena government is formed. In such a situation, this meeting is being seen as a sign of change in the politics of Maharashtra.
There have been various reactions from all over the country regarding this meeting between the two leaders. People have even started saying that Sushant Singh Rajput has been the victim of political conspiracy. There is a big force behind this death, which is trying hard to save it. At the same time, the country’s top investigating agencies CBI, ED and NCB are working to put pressure on the Shiv Sena sitting in power.
Now people are eyeing on how this meeting of the leaders of both Fadnavis and Raut brings color to the politics of Maharashtra in the coming times, will there be any change in the form of the present government of Maharashtra? How old will the present government be? These are the questions for which the whole country is looking towards Maharashtra waiting for answers.
