With his return to the UAE, he has come to the UAE. Watch the big clash between the arch rivals in the 2021 T20 World Cup.
While he does not have a ticket for the game yet, Bashir is confident that Dhoni will provide him a ticket for the game even if it is not possible to meet him due to the pandemic.
He told the Indian Express, “I hope he has tickets ready for me. I sent him a message when I reached Dubai. Due to the Covid-19 restriction rules, meeting him will be a problem, but I stand on Sunday.” But I’ll stay.”
He had three heart surgeries despite having health issues, the opportunity to see MS Dhoni again in the Indian dressing room was great for Bashir and has already been seen by many cricket fans in Dubai.
“Maybe this might be the last time I can go to a tournament and see Dhoni in the Indian dressing room, so I can’t let this opportunity go,” Bashir said.
He further said, “Yesterday when I went to have breakfast, a group of Pakistan fans met me and congratulated me. When they asked who I would support, my answer was Pakistan team and Mr. Dhoni. They laughed and told me ‘ Said ‘gaddar’. (traitor). But I am used to it. I love both the countries and anyway humanity comes first.”
Bashir has designed special masks for the match with the theme of peace, love and friendship being highlighted. He also has a T-shirt made with MS Dhoni’s name engraved on it.
