New Delhi: India’s Health Ministry on Tuesday reported the first 6 cases of the new coronavirus strain. Recently 6 people returned from Britain were tested positive for the new virus strain.

According to the Ministry of Health, cases of new coronavirus ‘strain’ have been reported from Hyderabad, Pune, and Bangalore. The samples of the 3 passengers returned from Britain were tested at NIMHANS, Bangalore, the other 2 cases were tested at the Center for Cellular and Molecular Biology, Hyderabad, while the last case was tested at the National Institute of Virology, Pune. All these 6 people are kept in separate room isolation. People close to him have also been kept in quarantine.

Let us tell you that between 25 November and 23 December, a total of 33,000 passengers came from Britain to different airports in India. All these passengers were tracked for RT-PCR tests by states / UTs, out of which 114 have been found to be corona infected so far. When their samples were sent for genome sequencing, six new strains were found.

Significantly, in addition to India and Britain, new coronavirus strains have been confirmed in Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland. At the same time, a new strain of coronavirus has also been found in France. Apart from this, new strains of coronavirus have been found in many people in Denmark, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and Australia. At the same time, a new strain of coronavirus has also been found in South Africa. This is different from the new strain in Britain. In Canada, Japan, Lebanon, Singapore, and Nigeria, new strains of coronavirus have also been confirmed.

Meanwhile, India has suspended all passenger flights connecting to Britain from Wednesday to 31 December, in view of the corona virus strain.
