Sharad Pawar admitted to Mumbai hospital after abdominal pain

Mumbai: National Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar was admitted to the hospital in Mumbai a day earlier due to stomach ache, his party said this evening.

The 80-year-old former Union Minister was to be admitted to hospital yesterday for endoscopy and a surgery.

“Please note, our party president Sharad Pawar Saheb was to be hospitalized tomorrow for an endoscopy and surgery procedure, but since he is having some abdominal pain again, he is admitted at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai today. . ” Nawab Malik tweeted.

Mr Pawar has been diagnosed with a gall bladder disease and needs surgery, his party said yesterday. Mr. Malik said that he felt some pain in his stomach on Sunday evening and underwent a checkup, after which doctors found stones in his gall bladder.

“He is on a blood-thinning drug that is now being stopped due to the issue. He will be hospitalized and undergo an endoscopy and surgery on 31 March 2021. Therefore, all h schedules are canceled until further notice. went.” The NCP spokesman said.

Mr Pawar’s hospital faces a major crisis between the ruling alliance of Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress in Maharashtra.
