Successful test of laser guided anti-tank missile

New Delhi: Laser Guided Anti Tank Guided Missile (ATGM) was successfully test fired from MBT Arjun Tank at Armored Corps Center & School (ACC & S), KK Range, Ahmednagar on 22 September 2020. In these tests, ATGM successfully targeted the target at a distance of 3 km. Laser Guided ATGM assures accuracy by attacking your designated target with the help of designation.

In addition, it also has the ability to fly Explosive Reactive Armor (ERA) protected vehicles (armored vehicles) via heat (high speed expandable aerial target) warheads. The ATGM has been developed with multiple-platform launch capability and is currently being technically evaluated by firing from a gun mounted in the MBT Arjun.

The missile is developed by Armament Research and Development Establishment (ARDE) Pune in collaboration with High Energy Material Research Laboratory (HEMRL) Pune and Instruments Research and Development Establishment (IRDE) Dehradun.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has congratulated the Defense Research and Development Organization-DRDO for successfully testing the anti-laser guided tank missile from MBT Arjun in the KK range.

The Secretary of the Directorate of Defense Research and Development and the President of Defense Research and Development Organization have congratulated the hard work of DRDO personnel and this successful test.
