January 19 is the death anniversary of the brave son of Maharana Pratap, who has recorded all the tales of his bravery in the pages of history. The example of valor and bravery of Maharana Pratap is given all over the world. Maharana Pratap was born on May 9, 1540 in Kumbhalgarh fort of Rajasthan. He was the child of Maharana Udai Singh and Mata Jaiwant Kanwar.

There are many famous stories of his bravery

Maharana Pratap was very powerful in addition to being proficient in fighting skills. It is said that he was 4 feet 5 inches tall and always carried his famous spear and two swords with him. Along with this, he also used to wear 72 kg armor. According to folk beliefs, Maharana Pratap used to carry a total weight of more than 200 kg including weapons, armor and other accessories.

When the Mughal ruler Akbar was busy capturing the whole of India, then the brave warrior king of Mewar, Maharana Pratap fought and won the war to save his kingdom. The sixes of the Mughals were released during the war.

How did the death happen? It is said that Maharana Pratap died due to injury to his intestine while pulling the string of the bow. He could not be saved even after treatment and he breathed his last on 19 January 1597 at the age of 57. It is also said that despite the enmity, Akbar himself cried after hearing the news of Maharana Pratap’s death.

Showed skill in the battle of Haldi Ghati

One of the stories of the bravery of Maharana Pratap is also the battle of Haldi Ghati that took place on 8 June 1576. Where Maharana Pratap fought with the army of the Mughal Emperor Akbar. In which he fought with about 5 thousand to 10 thousand under the leadership of Amer Raja Man Singh. He faced 3,000 horsemen and 400 Bhil archers.

He was also badly injured in this war. After which he had to live in the forest. But he did not give up and prepared his army and attacked again. It is said that he had to live in the jungles for many days. During this time he did not have any proper arrangement for food, but even then he did not give up.
