UP Election: The first list of 125 candidates of Congress released, Unnao rape victim’s mother made candidate

New Delhi: Congress Party has released its first list of candidates for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Election 2022. A total of 125 candidates are included in the first list. Out of which, 40 percent of the total tickets have been given to women candidates while 40 percent have been given to youth candidates.

Priyanka Gandhi while announcing the list of candidates in her press conference said that Congress is giving tickets to 50 women out of total 125 candidates in the first list.

It is noteworthy that Asha Devi, mother of Unnao rape victim, has also got ticket from Congress party. Priyanka Gandhi said that tickets have been given to struggling women, from organization to journalist, women in the acting field have also been given tickets.

Here are some shocking nominations that the Congress party has fielded. Pankhuri Pathak from Noida, Sadaf Zafar from Lucknow Central, Louise Khurshid, wife of Salman Khurshid. Aradhana Mishra has been given ticket from Rampur Khas who is the sitting MLA from this seat.

The leader who raised their voice for Sonbhadra massacre victims has been given ticket from Umbha. Ticket to Asha worker Poonam Pandey from Shahjahanpur. Congress leader Sadaf Zafar, who was jailed on charges of anti-NRC agitation, has been given ticket from Lucknow Central.
