Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment Board (UPPRB) released recruitment notification for the post of Sub Inspector (SI) Civil Police (Male / Female), Platoon Commander / Sub-Inspector Armed Police (Male) and Second Officer (Male) of Fire Service Has As per the notification, among the Sub Inspector vacancies, 3,613 are unreserved (UR), 902 are for EWS, 2,437 are for OBC, 1,895 are for SC and 180 are for ST candidates.
Interested candidates for these posts can apply for UP Police Recruitment 2021 from 1 April 2021 to 30 April. An application fee of Rs 400 will have to be paid, which will be taken online. Interested candidates can apply by visiting uppbpb.gov.in.
As per the official notification, a total of 9,534 vacancies are available. Of these, 9027 are for the post of Sub Inspector, 484 for Platoon Commander and 23 for Fire Service Second Officer Post.
Further, out of 484 platoon commander posts, 194 are for UR, 48 are for EWS, 131 are for OBC, 101 are for SC and 10 are for ST candidates.
Finally, Fire Service Second Officer has 10 UR posts, 2 EWS, 6 OBCs and 5 SCs.
Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from any recognized university to apply for the positions. The age limit for UP Police SI recruitment is 21 to 28 years. Candidates can check the eligibility details in the official notification.
The notification states that the selection process will be conducted in three phases. These will include CBT-based written examination, document verification and physical standard examination as well as physical ability test.
The notification also mentions that the examination will be of 400 marks and will consist of 100 marks section of General Hindi, General Knowledge and Constitution, Numerical and Mental Aptitude as well as Mental Aptitude Test / Logical Examination. The duration of the examination will be 2 hours.
Pay Scale
For the post of SI in Civil Police and Platoon Commander PAC – Graduation in any discipline
For Firefighting Second Officer – Graduate in Science side.
Age limit – 21 to 28 years. That is, the candidate was not born before 1 July 1993 and not after 1 July 2000.
SC, ST, OBC category of Uttar Pradesh will be given age relaxation of 5-5 years.
Pay Scale – 9300 – 34800 and Grade Pay – Rs 4200
Height qualification
Height for General, OBC and SC category – at least 168 cm
For ST class – 160 cm
Sew
For General, OBC and SC category – 79 cm without inflating and 84 cm by inflating
For ST category – 77 cm without inflating and 82 cm by inflating
Keep in mind that at least 5 cm of chest swelling is mandatory.
Height for women
For General, OBC and SC category – at least 152 cm
For ST class – 147 cm

At least 40 kg for all female candidates
How will choose
Written Examination and Physical Efficiency Test.
Written test pattern
The written examination will be of 400 marks, in which objective type questions will be asked. This two-hour online written test will have one question paper for four different subjects.
General Hindi – 100
Numerology / Constitution / General Knowledge – 100 Marks
Numerical & Mental Aptitude Test – 100 Marks
Mental Aptitude Test / Intelligence Test / Logical Examination – 100 Marks.
Candidates who pass the written examination will be called for the Physical Efficiency Test. Physical efficiency test will be qualifying only.
Physical efficiency test
For men – 4.8 km race will have to be completed in 28 minutes.
For women – 2.4 km race will have to be completed in 16 minutes.
Final merit
Such candidates who qualify the Physical Efficiency Test will be called for medical on the basis of marks in the written examination. Final merit list will be made on the basis of the score in the written examination.
