Dehradun. Urmila Rana’s name is another achievement in the field of sports. Urmila Rana was elected vice-president in the School Games Federation of India (SGFI) election held in Tamil Nadu. On reaching Doon after becoming Vice President, she was warm welcomed with flower garlands. Urmila has been working on the post of Joint Secretary in SGFI for the last eight years.
She has many achievements in the field of sports. Several national-level competitions were successfully organized as State Coordinators from 2013 to 2013. She was a member of the Finance Committee in SGFI in 2053. Appointed Manager of International Athletics Women’s Team held in Malaysia. Also in 2015, she was again appointed the manager of the Indian women’s table tennis team. In view of his work and talent, the School Games Federation of India is currently appointed to the post of Vice President.
Urmila has been a good player since school time and she has won many medals in national and international level competitions. She made India proud by representing India at the International Athletics Championships in Malaysia last year, winning three medals. On Sunday, Urmila Rana arrived in Doon and received a warm welcome at the airport. She said that national competitions will be organized in the state so that the players of the state can get their benefits.
Prior to this, a team will be prepared by organizing camps for the Games in the state. So that state players can perform better at the national level. Director Education Rakesh Kunwar said that SGFI has given a big responsibility to Urmila Rana. It is a matter of pride for our department and the state. I hope she manages this responsibility well.
