Vaccine Update: More than 27 lakh people were vaccinated in the last 24 hours

New Delhi: As part of the nationwide COVID-19 vaccination campaign, the total number of COVID-19 vaccine doses given so far in the country is 15,49,89,635. Over 27 lakh vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours. Of these, 94,12,140 HCW has been given the first dose and 62,41,915 HCW has been given the second dose.

1,25,58,069 FLWs have been given the first dose, while 68,15,115 FLWs have been given the second dose, 5,27,07,921 beneficiaries aged 45 to 60 years (first dose) and 37,74,930 have been given the second dose. The first dose has been given to 5,23,78,616 beneficiaries over the age of 60 years and the second dose to 1,11,00,929 beneficiaries.

Ten states account for 67.0 percent of the total doses given in the country so far.

By the 105th day of the vaccination campaign (30 April 2021), 27,44,485 vaccine doses were given.

In a total of 23,356 sessions, 15,69,846 beneficiaries were given the first dose and 11,74,639 beneficiaries were given the second dose of the vaccine.

The total number of healthy people in India today is 1,56,84,406.

The national recovery rate is 81.84 percent with 2,99,988 recovery in the last 24 hours.

Ten states account for 76.09 percent of the newly recovered patients.

Achieving a landmark achievement in relation to Covid-19, 19,45,299 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours in the country. India’s daily confirmed cases are now at 20.66 percent.

In the last 24 hours, 4,01,993 new cases have been registered.

The percentage of new cases from ten states including Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan and Bihar is 73.71.

Maharashtra has the highest number of daily new cases reported at 62,919. This is followed by 48,296 in Karnataka and 37,199 new cases in Kerala.

India’s total active cases have reached 32,68,710. It now comprises 17.06 percent of the total confirmed cases in the country. The total number of active cases increased by 98,482 in the last 24 hours.

Eleven states Maharashtra, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Bihar account for 78.22 percent of India’s total active cases.

The reduction in national mortality has been recorded and currently stands at 1.11 percent.

There have been 3,523 deaths in the last 24 hours.

There are 76.75 percent of new death cases from ten states. Maharashtra recorded the highest (828) deaths followed by Delhi (375) and Uttar Pradesh with 332 daily deaths.

No Covid-19 deaths have been reported from four states / union territories in the last 24 hours. These are Daman and Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Lakshadweep, Arunachal Pradesh and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
