Today is World Health Day. World Health Day is celebrated every year on 7 April. This day was started to make people all over the world aware of their health. Through World Health Day, people are taught to take care of their health and be aware of it.
Today thousands of people across the district are battling with many major diseases. In which deadly diseases like malaria, tuberculosis, polio, leprosy, cancer and AIDS are included. The main objective of this day is to make people aware to make them physically, mentally and socially healthy. The theme of World Health Day in the year 2022 is “Our Planet, Our Health”.
When is World Health Day celebrated?
World Health Day is a special day celebrated since the inception of the World Health Organization (WHO). The World Health Organization was established on 7 April 1948. The first World Health Day was celebrated in the year 1950. Celebration of this day was started by all the member states of WHO (World Health Organization).
Healthy mind resides in a healthy body: Self-reliance
Swavalamban Secretary Anmol Kumar said that health is capital. But if we look at the present scenario, most of the people do not look serious towards their health. Today such situations have become in which a person battling with a complex and stressful lifestyle neither pays attention to his food nor does he understand the importance of his health.
A healthy mind resides in a healthy body. When we are physically healthy we feel mentally and socially healthy and we successfully complete all our tasks. The purpose of the day is to make people aware of health on World Health Day.
Currently, e-sanjeevani OPD by the Health Department, intensive campaign on Health and Wellness Center for eradication of tuberculosis, vaccination under Mission Indradhanush by marking children and pregnant women left out under routine vaccination, vaccination of Kovid-19 at the designated session site, Under NCD (Non Communicable Disease) medical examination and counseling of elderly is being done in OPD. Along with this, all the programs run under NHM are being run.
Purpose of celebrating World Health Day :-

• To make people understand the importance of health so that people can be attracted to be aware of being healthy.
• To provide access to good health facilities.
• To create awareness about the health of every person so that every person remains healthy.
• To improve the health system
• To prevent the spread of serious diseases.
• To spread awareness about equitable health care facilities.
•To solve the health problems of the people.
