8 feet high gold plated marble throne for the idol of Ramlala

The Ram temple in Ayodhya will have an eight-feet high gold-plated marble throne where the idol of Ram Lala will be placed. The marble throne is being made by artisans from Rajasthan and will reach Ayodhya by December 15. Anil Mishra, member of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, said, the throne will be kept in the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram temple.

“The throne to be kept in the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram temple will be eight feet high, three feet long and four feet wide,” he said.

Mishra said that Ram devotees have also donated a large quantity of gold and silver items. These gold and silver items, coins and bricks donated before and after the formation of the trust will be melted. Mishra said, “A lot of problems are being faced in keeping the donated items safe. They will be melted and kept safe by making a solid block. This work will be done under the guidance of a reputed institution.”

Mishra said that amid preparations for the grand consecration ceremony, the construction work of Ram temple has been expedited. The number of workers has been increased as per the need. The trust member said, the ground floor of Ram temple should be ready by December 15 under any circumstances.

“The work on the first floor is 80% complete. The construction of the sanctum sanctorum has already been completed. The flooring work of the parikrama marg has been completed. Now the work of laying marble on the floor of the grih mandap is going on.” Flooring work is going on on the stairs as well as other places,” Mishra said while giving details of the temple construction.

The roofing work of all three floors of the passenger convenience center has been completed. Safety equipment is also being installed. The work of the entrance gate of the outer wall (parkota) of Ram temple is also in the final stage and will be completed. At the end of November. Seventeen of the total 19 pillars on the first floor have been installed. It is expected that the roof of the first floor will also be completed by December 15,” Mishra added.
