New Delhi: India today achieved a significant achievement in the case of the Covid-19 epidemic. As of date, the total number of active cases has come down to less than 2 lakhs ie 1,97,201. This number is 1.86 percent of the total cases. This is the lowest figure since 207 days. The total number of active cases as of 27 June 2020 was 1,97,387. In the last 24 hours, 16,988 patients have gone home from the hospital. Thus there has been a decline of 3,327 in the total number of active cases. Of these active cases, 72 percent are from five states.
Less than 10,000 active cases have been found in 34 states and union territories.
There is also a steady decline in the number of new cases coming up every day in India, due to which the number of total active cases is decreasing.
Globally, India has recorded the largest decline in the number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 per 10 lakh population per day in the last 7 days.
As of 7 am on 20 January 2021, a total of 6,74,835 people have been vaccinated against the Covid-19 vaccine. In the last 24 hours, 2,20,786 people have been vaccinated in a total of 3,860 sessions. So far 11,720 sessions of immunization have been conducted.
The total number of patients admitted is 1.02 crore (10,245,741).
The total number of cases that have been recovered a few days ago has exceeded 1 crore from the number of active cases. This difference has increased to 10,048,540 today. The health rate has increased to 96.70 percent today. This gap is widening as the number of healthy cases is increasing more than the number of newcomers.
80.43 percent of the newly diagnosed patients are from 10 states / UTs.
Maharashtra has the highest number of 4,516 patients a day, 4,296 in Kerala and 807 in Karnataka.
Of the newly surfaced cases, 79.2 percent are from seven states and union territories.
Kerala has recorded the highest number of 6,186 new cases in a single day. There have been 2,294 new cases in Maharashtra.
The number of daily deaths due to the epidemic has also declined and today it has come down to 162.
Six States / Union Territories account for 71.6 percent of the newly recorded deaths.
Maharashtra has the highest number of deaths (50). Kerala and West Bengal have recorded 26 and 11 deaths per day respectively.
