The Rouse Avenue Court on Thursday took up the hearing of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) chargesheet against Delhi Excise Policy scam accused Vijay Nair, Abhishek Boinapalli, public servants and others. Summons have been issued to all the accused named in the charge sheet.
Special Judge MK Nagpal issued summons to all the accused named in the charge sheet. According to the charge sheet, Arun R Pillai, Mutha Gautam, Sameer Mahendru, a former Delhi Excise Department official and accused in the case Kuldeep, besides Narendra Singh Nair and Boinpally Chadar are accused.
Let us tell you that the CBI had arrested only Nair and Boinapalli in this case and later they got bail on the orders of the lower court. But the CBI challenged the order of the lower court and reached the High Court. Later, the High Court issued notices to both on the CBI’s plea.
However, Nair, Boinapalli and Mahendru are in judicial custody in a similar case filed by the ED. Their bail pleas are being considered in the court.
