New Delhi: The air quality in Delhi-NCR is deteriorating day by day. Therefore, construction and demolition activities have been banned in Delhi. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the air quality index in Anand Vihar area reached 415 or ‘severe’ category on Monday.
The AQI near IGI Airport (T3) also remained in the ‘very poor’ category on Monday. Meanwhile, the AQI near the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium stood at 377.
The national capital’s air quality deteriorated to the “severe” category on the night of October 31, 2022, according to data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
The 24-hour average air quality index (AQI) of Delhi stood at 403 at 10 pm. On Monday, above the 392 (“very poor”) category, according to the CPCB at 4 pm. Daily Official Bulletin, which is considered to be the official AQI of the day. Higher value of AQI means increase in air pollution.
