Center sends high-level teams to Himachal, Punjab and UP for Covid management

New Delhi: The central government has decided to depute high-level central parties in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh to help states in Covid response and management. These states are either increasing the number of active cases i.e. the number of people who are admitted to hospitals due to illness or who are kept indoors under medical supervision, or where the Covid every day Infection cases are increasing.

These three-member teams will visit the districts where more cases of Covid are being reported and help in the state’s efforts towards prevention, monitoring, investigation, infection prevention and control measures, and efficient clinical management of Covid infection cases. . The central parties will also guide the states in effectively dealing with the challenges related to timely disease identification and subsequent treatment.

Earlier, the central government had sent high-level teams to Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Manipur, and Chhattisgarh.

The percentage of active cases (4,40,962) in total cases of Covid in India fell to 4.85 and remained below the five percent level. The recovery rate has also improved and today it is 93.69 percent. In the last 24 hours, 43,493 people have recovered from Covid, with the total number of people recovering from the disease increased to 85,21,617.

The gap between recovery cases and active cases is growing rapidly and currently stands at 80,80,655.

There are currently less than 20,000 active cases in 26 states / union territories.

The number of active cases in seven states / union territories is between 20,000 and 50,000 while in Maharashtra and Kerala the number is more than 50,000.

Of the new cases of recovery from the disease, 77.68 percent cases are from 10 states / union territories.

In the latest cases, 6,963 people have recovered from Covid in Delhi. In Kerala and Maharashtra this number is 6,719 and 4,088 respectively.

Out of the new cases, 76.81 percent cases are from 10 states / union territories. There have been 45,209 new cases of Covid infection in the last 24 hours.

There have been 5,879 cases in Delhi in the last 24 hours. In Kerala and Maharashtra, 5,772 and 5,760 cases were reported yesterday.

In 15 states / union territories of the country, less than the national average of Covid cases per 10 lakh population is being reported.

In the last 24 hours, 501 people died of Covid in the country of which 76.45 per cent cases are from 10 states / union territories.

Of the new cases of death from Covid, 22.16 percent are from Delhi where 111 people died due to the disease. In Maharashtra, the number was recorded at 62 while in West Bengal it was 53.

The death rate due to the disease in 13 states / union territories is higher than the national average (1.46 percent).

On the other hand, deaths per 10 lakh population in 21 states / union territories are less than the national average (96).
